1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, and server-side logs.
2. Strictly necessary cookies
MegaX uses necessary cookies and tokens to keep you logged in, secure sessions, prevent CSRF/origin abuse, remember security settings, and route checkout or billing portal returns. These are required for the Service and cannot be disabled from within the app.
3. Optional cookies
- Analytics cookies and scripts are not loaded unless you explicitly accept analytics.
- Marketing cookies, pixels, and scripts are not loaded unless you explicitly accept marketing.
- Stripe, Cloudflare, and other providers may set cookies for payment security, fraud prevention, bot protection, or infrastructure.
4. Fonts and external resources
MegaX does not load Google Fonts or other remote font services. The interface uses local system fonts installed on the visitor device. Optional third-party scripts must be gated behind consent and must not load when optional cookies are rejected.
5. Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you block necessary cookies, login, upload, checkout, billing portal, security, and project editing may stop working.
6. Consent banner
MegaX shows a cookie banner with Reject optional, Preferences, and Accept all. If you reject optional cookies, MegaX stores only the consent decision locally and clears known optional analytics/marketing cookies or storage keys if they exist. Your choice is stored in your browser local storage with the consent version and timestamp.
7. Terms and privacy notice
MegaX may also show a separate legal notice when Terms, Privacy, Refund, Copyright, or DPA documents are introduced or materially updated. Account creation separately requires acceptance of the Terms and Privacy Policy.
